Excavation by James Rollins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Very interesting subject from a writer I haven't read before. It had everything: the spansish inquisition (spoiler alert: they were not disbanded as everyone believed), Indiana Jones style exploration, treasure AND extra-terrestrial technology. What I liked was the way the author brought all these elements together. You would have thought that there would be a certain amount of eye rolling, but no, the author made everything quite plausible and believable.
I would reccomend this book to anyone who loved 'The Davinci Code' and Indiana Jones.
